Elevating the Conversation on Minority Business Growth in Baltimore
The 2023 National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) Annual Conference, in partnership with the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), was a landmark event, setting a new standard for industry conferences. As the most extensive gathering of its kind, it attracted over 5,000 attendees, including key corporate CEOs, procurement executives, and leading minority business owners. At the center of this vibrant event was IntelliPro, making a significant impact as an exhibitor. Our role extended beyond showcasing our commitment to minority business growth, offering a stage for unveiling our advanced technological innovations and affirming IntelliPro's position as a leader in the industry.
In Baltimore, the conference united industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, providing a fertile ground for discussions about economic equity and minority business empowerment. Notably, the conference featured esteemed speakers such as Rosie Allen-Herring (United Way), Dr. Heather Boushey (White House), Calvin Butler (Exelon), Donald R. Cravins, Jr. (MBDA), Pete Buttigieg (U.S. Department of Transportation), Les Brun (Ariel Alternatives, LLC), Ivy McGregor (BeyGOOD Foundation), and Stephen Benjamin (White House). The presence of these influential figures highlighted the importance of the event in shaping the future of business and diversity.
A key highlight from IntelliPro was the presentation of APN, IntelliPro's internally developed, AI-driven software. Jeremy Li, IntelliPro's Director of Product Management, articulated the significance of this opportunity."I feel honored to present APN, receiving valuable feedback and engaging in discussions about the future of AI and the recruiting industry," he said. This session highlighted IntelliPro's role as an innovator, not only within the minority business community but also in the broader recruiting industry.
At IntelliPro'sbooth (905-LC), the team created a hub of interaction and idea exchange. The team engaged with a diverse audience, ranging from budding entrepreneurs to experienced business leaders, fostering discussions on the challenges and future prospects of minority businesses and the recruitment sector.
Reflecting on IntelliPro's first exhibit at the NMSDC conference, Melissa Neverson, Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Brand Communications, shared her thoughts. "This being our first exhibit at the NMSDC conference, we're walking away with so much knowledge about what people are looking for in terms of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, strategies, and support. It's been such a great learning experience for us. We can't wait to see what happens outside of this conference."
IntelliPro's participation in the NMSDC Annual Conference 2023 was more than mere attendance. We actively shaped the conversation around minority business empowerment and economic equity. Through engaging discussions and showcases like APN, IntelliPro solidified its role as a catalyst for business growth and technological progress in the minority business sector.
Reflecting on this successful event, we are filled with anticipation for future opportunities to engage, learn, and innovate. IntelliPro is excited to continue this journey, eager to participate in upcoming events and looking forward to our next appearance at the NMSDC Annual Conference. Our commitment to empowering minority businesses through innovation and collaboration remains steadfast.
